****SELECT THE AGE YOUR ATHLETE WILL BE AS OF DEC 31, 2023*** eg. 13 years old as of Dec 31, 2023 is U15.



If your child has never played hockey before please follow the steps below:


1.       Complete the online Parent Respect In Sport training (Respect in Sport Link - It takes about 1 hour and costs approximately $13)
 Respect in Sport is required to be completed before the start of the season, When registering for the Respect in Sport Program you MUST enter first and last name only as it appears on your child's birth certificate. You only need to complete this program once per lifetime. 1 parent in the household must complete this online course before any registration can take place.

2. Create a profile on the Hockey Canada Registry - Spordle My Account,  you will be required to upload a picture of the childs birth certificate and a proof of residency (utility bill header that states name, address and current date on it or a picture of drivers license) to the Hockey Canada portal.
 

3.       Registration will be available from early July until  August 27th for most divisions dependent upon participant numbers. The online webstore will be posted on the main Burford Minor Hockey webpage. When you register the online store will default your choices to the proper division based on the childs birth year. If you cannot find the division you want to register for, please email [email protected] with the childs information and HCR # if available.


4. Payment can be made by etransfer to [email protected] password Burford2020


If your child has played in another center please ensure 1 parent in the house has completed the mandatory Respect in Sport Training in the past, if your not sure please contact  [email protected] to check.

 



Registration will be July 01-Sept 01. There will be a $100 late fee if registered after Aug 27th, 2022.(U5 Exempt).




PARENTS CONSIDERING GOING ON THE ICE WITH THE U5 DIVISION CHILD MUST CONTACT [email protected] BEFORE STEPPING ON THE ICE AS AN INSURANCE REQUIREMENT.


Rep Fees

There will be a $200 rep fee for those athletes whom made the Rep/MD Teams. This is payable to your team manager upon roster completion.

Family Discounts - Burford Minor Hockey will be providing families with 3 or more players a $150 family discount. ($150 per family). Families must be fully paid for the year and can contact the treasurer to process the payment.

Paying your players 2023-2024 registration fees.

Athletes that have not made payments in full by OCT. 02, 2023 will not be allowed onto the ice.

We have updated the Hockey Canada system with your player's fee's for the upcoming season and ask that you complete the following steps to retrieve your amount owing and use one of the above noted payment methods

"AAA" Permission To Skate forms:
Any players interested in trying out for AAA teams MUST get a permission to skate form from their home centre.  Pursuant to OMHA rules, any player requesting a Permission To Skate form must be pre-registered for the upcoming season with their home centre.  To request your Permission To Skate form please email the following information to [email protected]
Player name, Player Date of Birth, Last Team Played for, Team Trying Out For (please include age division)

NRP (Non-Resident Player) Passport:
Any players Peewee or above, interested in trying out for A/AA teams MUST get a NRP passport from their home centre.  Atom aged players and below are not eligible to tryout for A/AA.  The player will be eligible to tryout with the AA or A centre closest to the player's residence that is accepting NRP's based on the mileage from the player's residential address as recorded in the Hockey Canada Registry to the centre point of the AA or A centre.  All mileages are to be obtained via Google Maps.  Pursuant to the OMHA rules any players requesting a NRP Passport must be pre-registered for the upcoming season with their home centre.  To request your NRP Passport please email the following information to [email protected]

BDMHA Registration Assistance Program:
Through the generosity of local sponsors, funds are available to assist families in need with the cost of hockey registration fees for the children under their care. Eligibility for assistance will be determined based on the family's gross annual household income and the number of people in the home.  The availability of funds and the number of applications received for the upcoming season will determine what level of assistance that can be offered to eligible applicants.  Applications are available under the "Forms" section and should be completed and submitted to the BDMHA Executive along with the documentation noted on the application form, no later that September 1.
